Brazed Contact On Terminal

Brazed contacts on terminals have a solid structure. They are often made of silver and copper materials as in the mentioned silver contacts. The process involves brazing techniques. For application, they ensure good electrical conductivity and durability, suitable for truck power switches and welding scenarios.

What is Brazed Contact On Terminal?

Brazed Contact On Terminal

A Brazed Contact On Terminal is a completed electrical assembly with silver‑alloy contacts bonded onto thin flat conductive terminals. Silver‑copper material combinations and projection resistance welding are the primary manufacturing solutions, widely applied to truck power switches and industrial electrical systems.

Due to the low thermal mass of thin terminals, welding energy needs to be focused on the projection area to avoid terminal deformation and guarantee precise contact alignment. This Silver Contact Terminal Assembly fits truck power switches, vehicle electrical connectors, low‑voltage control terminals and industrial terminal assemblies. Two production modes are available: processing customer‑provided contacts and terminals, and full OEM manufacturing, including terminal stamping, contact pretreatment, projection resistance welding, quality testing and packaging.

Projection Silver to Copper Brazing Process Flow

product-1-1

Terminal Stamping

The thin flat terminal is produced from the specified copper material for Resistance Precision Welding for Copper Parts. Critical dimensions include terminal width, thickness, mounting features, bend geometry, and the projection location.

Contact Placement

The silver contact is positioned on the terminal at the specified welding datum for Resistive Welding Silver Contact. A fixture holds the terminal and contact during electrode approach and welding.

Projection Resistance Welding

The projection concentrates current density and resistance heating at the designed joining point for AC Resistance Welding Silver Contact. Electrode force then collapses the projection and forms the welded connection.

Post-Weld Inspection

After welding, the assembly should be checked for contact position, terminal deformation, visible weld condition, and electrical continuity. Additional mechanical or electrical tests can be defined according to the final application.

Critical Quality Inspection Items for Welded Ag Contact Assemblies

Terminal Flatness

Welded Ag Contact Assemblies should be checked for post-weld bending or twisting. Flatness is particularly relevant where the terminal is inserted into a connector housing or mounted against another electrical component.

Contact Position

The silver contact location should be measured relative to the terminal datum. This prevents a weld that is electrically continuous but mechanically misplaced from entering production.

Weld Condition

The weld area of Silver and Copper Welding Button Contact should be checked for incomplete joining, excessive indentation, surface damage, and abnormal discoloration. Process validation can include destructive sectioning to verify internal weld formation.

Electrical Continuity

Electrical testing verifies that the finished Electrical Contact Resistance Brazings provide the required conductive path. Contact resistance limits should be taken from the final device specification rather than using a generic value.

Frequently Asked Questions about Silver Contact Welded Connection

What are the packaging and shipping methods for Silver Contact Welded Connection?

+

-

Components are securely packed in custom anti-static thermoformed blister trays and sealed in vacuum bags inside reinforced export cartons to prevent bending and surface scratching during international freight transit.

How do you prevent angular warpage on Silver and Copper Welding Button Contact during the welding process?

+

-

We utilize specialized precision clamping fixtures and rapid cooling pulses to dissipate heat instantly, maintaining a flatness tolerance within ±0.03 mm.

Do you provide destructive shear testing reports for Electrical Contact Resistance Brazing Assemblies?

+

-

304 stainless steel meets the international requirements of food grade; 316 stainless steel is not only food grade or medical grade. However, the use of this medical grade as a production cup will not bring additional benefits to everyone. Why is it called 304 or 316? This is mainly defined according to the material composition. 316 stainless steel is not similar to mineral materials; after use can release some substances to promote human absorption.

What is the typical lead time for custom Brazed Contacts prototype development?

+

-

Initial prototype samples and process qualification runs are typically completed and dispatched within 10 to 15 business days following drawing sign‑off.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom AC Resistance Welding Silver Contact?

+

-

Standard production orders for custom‑engineered terminal contact assemblies begin at an MOQ of 1000 pieces, with pilot runs available for evaluation.
