Products Description
Silver Bimetal Rivet Contacts are riveted electrical contact elements made of silver alloy (contact layer) and highly conductive copper (substrate layer) through a cold forging composite process. They are widely used in electrical switches, relays, contactors, and circuit breakers as the core conductive components for carrying current and making and breaking connections. Essentially, they are a functionally graded material-the silver alloy layer provides low contact resistance and resistance to arc erosion, while the copper substrate provides a highly conductive and thermally conductive path and a mechanical riveting structure.

Product Characteristics
Composite Structure: Composed of a silver alloy working layer and a copper base layer for the Electrical Contact Point for Switches.
Contact Layer Material: Available in various silver-based alloys such as Ag, FAg, AgNi, AgCdO, AgSnO2, and AgZnO2.
Base Layer Material: Primarily copper (Cu) or cupronickel (CuNi) for Button Bimetal Rivet Electrical Contact.
Riveting Type: Can be fixed using riveting, requiring no additional electroplating or welding processes.
Standardized Design: Offers standard and customizable size options for Bimetal Electric Rivet Contact.

Manufacturing Advantages
Fully Automated Multi-Station High-Speed Bimetallic Cold Forging Machine
The production line adopts industry-leading multi-station integrated cold forging equipment, realizing continuous operation of automatic cutting, feeding, flattening, laminating, and forming of silver and copper wires. The output efficiency can reach 350 to 450 pieces per minute, effectively locking in consistent tolerances for mass production of Bimetal Contact for Circuit Breaker.
High-Precision CNC Optical Alignment and Polishing of Molds
The cavity fitting accuracy of all forming cold forging molds is controlled within ±2μm, and the surface roughness R0 is ≤0.1μm, fundamentally eliminating the hidden microscopic tip discharge arc source caused by die scratches on the rivet head arc surface of Electrical Contact Point for Switches.
Closed-Loop Defect Eddy Current Optical Imaging Screening
The end of the production line integrates a binocular CCD image geometric dimension detector and a continuous conductivity eddy current non-destructive sensor, enabling 100% automatic sorting of defective Button Bimetal Rivet Electrical Contact with micro-cracks, misaligned bonding lines, or insufficient silver layer thickness on the high-speed production line.

Application Areas
| Industrial Contactors | Main contacts of AC contactors require high resistance to welding and long electrical life. AgCdO/Cu or AgSnO₂/Cu solutions are recommended. |
| Automotive Relays and BMS | Bimetal Electric Rivet Contact is used for high-voltage DC relays for new energy vehicles requiring resistance to DC arc erosion. AgSnO₂/Cu solutions are recommended, as their resistance to DC arc erosion is superior to AgCdO. |
| Household Appliance Switches | Bimetal Contact for Circuit Breaker as switches for electric kettles, rocker switches for rice cookers, etc., requiring long lifespan and low cost. AgNi/Cu solutions are recommended. |
| Circuit Breakers and Thermostats | Contacts for industrial circuit breakers and thermal protectors need to withstand transient short-circuit current surges. AgCdO/Cu solutions are recommended for the Electrical Contact Point for Switches. |
