Products Description
Static Silver Contact is a composite electrical contact designed specifically for the core circuits of electrical equipment such as electrical switches, relays, and circuit breakers. Its core architecture consists of only a silver alloy contact layer and a copper (or copper alloy) bottom layer, without any additional impurities. The two layers are bonded at the atomic level through a cold forging composite process, which is completely different from the multi-material stacking design of conventional composite contacts.
Core Product Nature and Characteristics
Bill Preparation
Silver alloy/copper material is precisely cut and stacked into a double-layer billet with silver on top and copper on the bottom. The Flat Bimetallic Rivet interface undergoes activation treatment (mechanical brushing + chemical reduction) to remove the oxide film and adsorbed layer.
Cold Forging Composite Process
A unit pressure of 800-1500 MPa is applied in a closed die, causing 70%-85% compression deformation at the silver/copper interface. Fresh metal is extruded from the cracked surface oxide film gaps, forming an interlocking mechanical structure and atomically clean contact. The composite interface for State Contact Rivet shear strength can reach ≥150 MPa, far exceeding that of brazing.
Subsequent Forming
The composite billet is cold-forged/stamped to its final geometric shape (flat, curved, with positioning bosses, etc.). According to customer requirements for Flat Silver Contacts, a finishing process can be added to control flatness (≤0.03 mm).
