Trimetal Rivets

Trimetal Rivets are electrical contact elements with a three-layer composite structure of silver alloy, copper, and silver alloy. They are specifically designed for industrial control relays, changeover switches, contactors, and other electrical equipment requiring double-sided contact. The core technology of this product lies in the fact that both the head and the feet use silver alloy functional layers, with copper as the conductive and supporting substrate in the middle, and the three dissimilar materials are metallurgically bonded through a cold pressure welding process.

Products Description

Trimetal Rivets

Trimetal Rivets are a high-performance electrical contact material structure composed of three layers: a silver alloy layer, a copper-based conductor, and another silver alloy layer, forming a special structure with double-sided functional contacts. These three-layer composite contacts are mainly used in industrial control relays and electrical systems requiring left-right switching. By using the silver alloy in critical contact areas and copper in the conductive body, a balance is achieved between conductivity, mechanical stability, and cost-effectiveness.

Core Material Performance and Cost Advantages

Material Structure

The head and feet for AgCuAg Trimetal Contacts utilize highly conductive silver alloys (such as AgCu or AgNi), while the core is made of high-strength copper (CuZn30/37).

Resistance Advantage

Although the core of Trimetal Electrical Rivets is copper, the silver layer directly bears the current-dense areas (i.e., the contact surface), effectively preventing arc erosion and maintaining contact resistance at the milliohm level.

ECost Reduction

Compared to using all-silver contacts, the three-composite structure for Three Compound Rivets saves at least 30% - 50% in material costs, especially significant in large-volume purchases.

Design Advantages

Precision Molding and Machining Design

Utilizing precision positioning for
Electric Double Metal Contact Rivet and stacking technology and CNC machining, core indicators such as overall dimensional accuracy ±0.008mm and coaxiality ≤φ0.01mm are controlled to ensure stable contact resistance, improve assembly efficiency, and reduce assembly errors and costs.

Silver layer leak-proof design

Interlayer diffusion welding technology is used to form a transition bonding layer, ensuring interlayer bonding strength ≥220MPa. Optimized composite molding parameters avoid interlayer gaps. Combined with full-process silver layer thickness detection, the stability of the Three Compound Rivets layer is enhanced.

Customization and mass production

Supports customization of parameters such as head/foot silver alloy models and layer thicknesses to meet individual needs; supports small-batch trial production and mass production, with samples delivered in as little as 2 days, and a monthly production capacity of 10 million pieces, ensuring on-time delivery for Trimetal Electrical Rivets.
