Products Description
In modern electronic products and industrial equipment, the performance of connectors and contact points is critical. As a high-performance electrical contact component, Silver Clad Contacts are widely used in various high-end equipment and systems due to their superior electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. The key feature of Contacts with Silver Plating is that their surface is coated with a thin layer of silver, with the silver layer thickness usually controlled between 3 and 5 micrometers. This process improves the overall performance of the contacts, especially in applications requiring high reliability and long service life.
Although the production cost of Electrical Contacts with Silver Coating is slightly higher than that of non-silver-plated contacts (an increase of approximately 5%), the significant performance improvement they deliver makes this cost increase highly cost-effective. Particularly for industries that require long-term operation and have extremely high demands on electrical performance, the stability and reliability provided by Silver Coated Contacts for Industrial Use far exceed those of other materials.
Product Advantages
Excellent Electrical Conductivity
Silver is one of the most conductive metals known. Silver Contacts, enhanced by the silver coating, greatly improve electrical conductivity. They deliver more stable and efficient current transmission in both low-current and high-current operating conditions, reducing signal attenuation.
Corrosion and Oxidation Resistance
Silver exhibits outstanding oxidation and corrosion resistance, effectively preventing the degradation of electrical contact performance caused by environmental factors such as moisture and chemicals. Especially in high-humidity, high-temperature or corrosive gas environments, the superior performance of Silver Plating Electrical Contacts makes them an ideal choice for high-stability applications.
Long Service Life and Wear Resistance
Bimetal Contacts with Silver Plated demonstrate exceptional wear resistance and fatigue resistance in high-frequency and high-voltage working environments. The strong adhesion of the silver coating ensures long-term stability, reducing replacement frequency and maintenance costs, thereby lowering the overall cost of long-term use.
Low Contact Resistance
Thanks to the high conductivity of the silver layer, Silver Plated Electrical Contacts significantly reduce contact resistance, improving signal transmission quality and speed. This ensures stable performance of equipment in high-frequency communication, data transmission and other fields.
Precisely Controlled Manufacturing Process
The silver layer thickness of Silver plated rivet is generally 3 to 5 micrometers. This thickness ensures excellent conductivity while avoiding unnecessary costs caused by an overly thick silver layer. Precise process control enables each contact to meet ideal performance standards and satisfy various high-precision application requirements.

Production Process
Base Material Forming & Stress Relief
Contacts with Silver Plating are formed by high-precision stamping or CNC machining to produce the contact base. A low-temperature stress relief process is then applied to eliminate internal stress, preventing deformation in subsequent electroplating and application, and ensuring stable dimensions and flatness.
Multi-stage Pre-treatment & Activation
Electrical Contacts with Silver Coating undergo multiple processes including degreasing, micro-etching, acid pickling and pure water rinsing to completely remove oxides and contaminants on the copper base surface. This strengthens the bonding between the silver coating and the base material, avoiding blistering and peeling of the coating.
Precision Silver Plating
On the automatic electroplating line, precise control of current, temperature and time is implemented for Silver Coated Contacts for Industrial Use, stably depositing a uniform silver layer of 3–5μm with high thickness consistency, free from missing plating, burning and pitting.
Anti-tarnish Treatment & Clean Drying
After silver plating, Silver plated rivet receive anti-oxidation and anti-sulfuration treatment to improve stability during storage and application. They are then cleaned with multi-stage pure water and vacuum-dried to ensure no chemical residue and a clean surface.

Details Display
Uniform Coating Thickness
Silver electrical contacts adopt precision electroplating technology, with consistent silver layer thickness, no local thinning, no missing plating, and no burning. This ensures consistent electrical conductivity and oxidation resistance at every contact surface, with no performance degradation during long-term use.
01
Strong Silver Layer Bonding
After thorough pretreatment and interface activation, the silver layer of Contacts Silver Plated bonds firmly to the copper substrate. It will not peel, fall off, or expose the substrate under thermal expansion and contraction, vehicle-mounted vibration, or long-term on-off working conditions.
02
Smooth Low‑Resistance Surface
The contact end faces of Contacts with Silver Plating are flat and bright, free of pits, burrs, and tool marks. The sufficient and stable contact area effectively reduces contact resistance and heat generation, making switches and relays more reliable and durable.
03
Smooth Deburred Edges
Silver Clad Contacts are deburred and chamfered after forming and electroplating, with round and clean edges. They will not scratch coils, insulation bobbins, springs, and seals during assembly, improving overall safety and assembly yield.
