Production Process & Materials

Trimetal Electrical Contacts

Cladding Technology of Silver Alloy and Electrolytic Copper

Three Compound Rivet adopts a silver alloy–electrolytic copper composite structure. The silver alloy layer ensures excellent conductivity and oxidation resistance, while electrolytic copper provides strong mechanical support and durability.

Produced by electroplating silver alloy on copper ends and high-temperature compression bonding, the layers are tightly integrated. The silver layer thickness is controlled at 30–50μm, ensuring stable conductivity under high-load and high-frequency switching.

Trimetal Silver Contacts

Precise Thickness Control & Bonding Strength

Bonding strength between silver alloy and electrolytic copper is critical. We use high-pressure welding with high temperature and pressure to firmly bond the two materials, preventing peeling or shedding.

Strict process control optimizes silver layer thickness and bonding strength, avoiding unstable contact resistance. Each tri-metal contact ensures stable, efficient conductivity and long service life.

Trimetal Contact Rivets

Precision Machining & Surface Finishing

After the basic manufacturing processes, Tri Metal Contact Rivets proceed to the precision machining and surface finishing stage to ensure optimal performance and appearance. First, the contact surfaces undergo electrochemical polishing to achieve a smoother and flatter finish. This reduces electrical contact resistance during operation, thereby enhancing the conductive efficiency of the contacts. The polished surfaces also feature improved flatness, which effectively minimizes wear and extends service life.

Application Scenarios

Industrial Control Relays

Electrical Trimetal Rivet Contacts are primarily designed for scenarios requiring frequent and high-speed switching, with industrial control relays being one of the most typical applications. As an indispensable component in automated equipment, relays must enable fast switching under high-current loads while withstanding millions of switching cycles. Trimetallic Relay Contact ensures high stability and low failure rates of relays during long-term operation, cutting the high costs of traditional silver contacts and boosting product cost-effectiveness.

Power Systems and Automation Equipment

Trimetal Contact Rivets are also widely used in power system protection relays and transfer switches of automation equipment. Given that these devices undergo frequent current switching, selecting contacts with superior stability and durability is critical to ensuring reliable equipment operation. Trimetal Moving Contacts deliver a more economical solution that meets the demands of high-frequency and high-current switching.

High-Frequency Communication Equipment

Trimetal Rivet Contacts find extensive applications in high-frequency communication equipment as well. For signal switching scenarios requiring stable contact and high-current transmission, their electrical performance guarantees signal stability. Meanwhile, their excellent durability allows such equipment to maintain stability during long hours of high-frequency operation, preventing communication interruptions or malfunctions caused by contact wear.
