In modern low-voltage electrical systems, the performance and lifespan of devices such as switches, relays, and contactors fundamentally depend on the dynamic connection components that perform the switching functions within them. Among these, the Silver Contact Riveted Assembly, as a key conductor and structural component, possesses technological implications far exceeding simple physical connections.

Core properties and material selection

The core properties of these components lie in their excellent conductivity, mechanical strength, and fatigue resistance. A robust connection between parts is achieved through an integrated riveting process, effectively avoiding the problems of excessive contact resistance and loose connections associated with traditional connection methods. This allows for long-term stable operation under low-voltage conditions (AC ≤1200V, DC ≤1500V), complying with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and relevant industry standards of various countries.

Regarding material selection, the core contacts of Stamping Electrical Contacts primarily use high-purity silver. Silver, as an excellent conductive metal, boasts industry-leading conductivity and thermal conductivity, effectively reducing contact resistance and energy loss. It also possesses excellent oxidation and sulfide resistance, maintaining surface cleanliness in complex environments and preventing contact performance degradation. For special requirements, silver alloy (silver-nickel, silver-cadmium, etc.) contacts can be used to further enhance wear resistance and ablation resistance.

Production process

The complete production process covers key stages such as raw material selection and pretreatment, precision stamping, accurate riveting and assembly, heat treatment and surface treatment, and finished product inspection.

In the raw material pretreatment stage, high-purity silver ingots, high-grade beryllium copper strips, and high-quality armature materials require leveling, shearing, and annealing to eliminate internal stress and improve subsequent processing performance.

The precision stamping process utilizes high-precision CNC stamping equipment and customized molds to achieve precise forming of stamped parts. The molds are made of high-hardness materials and undergo precision machining and heat treatment to ensure stamping accuracy and mold life. After forming, the stamped parts undergo deburring and cleaning to ensure a smooth surface.

In the riveting and assembly stage, automated or semi-automatic riveting equipment is used depending on the product type. For relay spring assemblies, the silver contacts are first precisely positioned onto the beryllium copper substrate for initial riveting, and then the armature is precisely positioned and riveted a second time to ensure coaxiality and connection strength. After riveting, a tensile test is conducted to verify the connection strength.

Subsequent heat treatment improves the elastic recovery and mechanical strength of the substrate. Surface treatments include gold plating and silver alloy plating of the contacts, substrate passivation, and electrophoresis to further enhance the product's corrosion and wear resistance.

Products Description

From an application perspective, these components have a wide range of applications, including not only conventional industrial control but also smart homes, automotive electronics, medical devices, and new energy.

Different application scenarios place varying demands on component performance. For example, automotive electronics components need to withstand high temperatures and vibrations, thus requiring enhanced high-temperature resistance and vibration resistance in material selection and structural design. Medical devices, on the other hand, demand extremely high dimensional accuracy and operational stability, necessitating sophisticated manufacturing processes to ensure product performance.

Riveted Electrical Connection Components, as a general term for these components, enjoy stable market demand and broad application prospects. With the continuous development of the low-voltage electrical appliance industry, the requirements for component performance, precision, and adaptability will continue to increase.
